The Purpose: of F.A.C.E (REACH Transitional & Supportive Housing Residency Program) is to provide supportive/transitional housing for individuals currently or pending release from correctional institutions in providing guidance in selecting outpatient treatment with mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, educational opportunities, job training programs and develop independent life skills necessary to sustain a lifestyle of recovery to include safe secure transitional housing placement.
Our organization, established in 2002, in Baltimore, MD. has now been in existence for over eighteen years.
F.A.C.E. (Freedom Advocates Celebrating Ex-Offenders) continues to strive to expand its programs and offerings to the community in providing linkages to education, rehabilitation, guidance, shelter, and reentry support to incarcerated men in prisons and jails throughout the State of Maryland.
At the heart of this initiative is our powerful supportive services program, our program offers the returning citizen encouragement and the necessary support to take stock of the life experiences that have propelled them into criminal activity, take responsibility for their criminal behavior, change life-long patterns of violence and addiction, and build productive lives.t is our mission to provide supportive service programs to recently released returning citizens and members of the community, to significantly help to alter their life course by helping to reduce relapse and recidivism vulnerability and remove treatment barriers for individuals actively seeking recovery from substance use and mental health disorders through the provision of safe, supervised housing and related supportive services.”
F.A.C.E ( Transitional & Supportive Housing Residency Program) is designed for currently or previously released incarcerated offenders by providing guidance in selecting appropriate services, conduct monthly meetings, facilitate on-site educational classes, provide referrals, and assist with the application process for mainstream benefits and services such as mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, educational opportunities, and job training programs. We are currently planning for expansion of our newly renovated facility to accommodate a 60-bed supportive/transitional residency housing to be complete within the next two years.
Strategic Framework:
The F.A.C.E. (Freedom Advocates Celebrating Ex-Offenders) has worked with its partners and stakeholders to develop a Strategic Framework – an approach that will transition F.A.C.E to a more outcome-oriented model that focuses on how many people leave better off after receiving F.A.C.E’ services, versus how many people walk through the door.
The Strategic Framework consists of a refreshed mission, priorities, and goals, along with a plan for how F.A.C.E. will measure, report on, and review them in the years to come; use them to make decisions; and drive greater collaboration within the F.A.C.E. organization.

Deliver and support high-quality, innovative, and comprehensive services that empower clients to thrive.
Collaborate with community partners, sister agencies, and public officials on programs and policies that improve the returning citizen’s lives and advance systemic change.
Inform the returning citizens of resources available to them through F.A.C.E. and its community partners.

Goal: Life Change---Productive citizens that can give into the development of safer and healthier communities and neighborhoods instead of just taking from it through the unnecessary killing and raising crime, couple with aiding in helping to reduce the high incarceration rate of our youth and young adults, and recidivism.
Services Offered
F.A.C.E. (Freedom Advocates Celebrating Ex-Offenders) provides a safe environment, with shared living spaces. Through a caring and stable environment, individuals can learn daily living skills and receive a support network to help them transition back into mainstream society.

Selection Process:
Applicants for program participation are directed to us from many of the local social service organizations, correctional institutions, parole and probation, court system, within the community. After completing the application, they are brought in for a personal interview, during which the entire program benefits and requirements are explained to them in detail. F.A.C.E (REACH Supportive Housing Residency Program) is primarily looking for people who want to change and develop the skill of responsibility for the own lives (behavior) and becoming productive members of society.
Participants are selected from among applicants on a first come-first served basis. FACE INC. The F.A.C.E. (Freedom Advocates Celebrating Ex-Offenders) regularly receives emails and calls from concerned family and friends of incarcerated adults who are due to be released from prison. Thousands of inmates are released each year without access to, or knowledge of, the support networks to help them transition back into society.
F.A.C.E. (Freedom Advocates Celebrating Ex-Offenders) program provides linkages to education, rehabilitation, guidance, shelter and reentry support to incarcerated men in prisons and jails throughout the State of Maryland. At the heart of this initiative is our powerful supportive services program, our program offers prison inmates encouragement and the necessary support to take stock of the life experiences that have propelled them into criminal activity, take responsibility for their criminal behavior, change life-long patterns of violence and addiction, and build productive lives.
It is our mission to provide supportive service programs to incarcerated adults, in order to significantly alter their life course. In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. Without the assistance of community-minded individuals just like you, we wouldn't be able to serve those in our community each year.
We ask that you make a commitment to support our annual appeal by making a cash donation. This year our goal is $10,000, and we hope that you will be able to make a contribution. Your generosity will make a difference in our community by allowing us to continue in our work by providing counseling, life-skills classes and adult education equipping them with the tools they need to remain free and to become reestablished in their communities.
Ex-inmates live at one of our shelters where we meet their need for shelter, food, clothing and basic health and dental care.
We help them obtain legal documents such as a driver’s license and birth certificate.
There is a one-time intake fee of $450 and once they are employed, program participants contribute financially toward transportation, rent and other needs.
